you see him smiling,
you see him happy.
But he wears a hidden mask.
You see him laughing with others,
but they're not his friends.
You see him fit in,
but he fits out.
You see that he's comfortable,
but he's not...
Because he wears a hidden mask.
He wears a hidden mask to blend in with the others,
to feel the same,
to look the same,
to be the same.
but he's not the same...
He's different...
And he doesn't like the feeling.
He hates being different.
And he was done being different...
So he wears the hidden mask...
He hides his true-self,
he denies being different,
he refuses to be different...
Very interesting and eerie and I love how this can connect a lot with middle school because all people want is to fit in and stay the same.
ReplyDeleteI like this a lot. I enjoy how deep it goes. To show that it is like society in a way and still shows how everyone is in a way
ReplyDeleteWow. The sad thing is that it is true for the majority of people, they hide themselves as they seem different, while in fact that is a good thing. Great job writing about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad that he doesn't relize that binging different is great! That is why this world is the way it is! New ideas and new eventions! Love the poem! So much meaning in such little sentences👍🏼👍🏼🤓
